Restoration work
Cracking and structural movement
This involves permanently repairing cracks and joints by cutting out, priming, and filling using special anchor glue, wall ties, anchors, and lateral restraints.
These are used throughout the property to restrain steelwork to walls, and using steelwork to strengthen roof trusses and cavity wall ties.
Plasterwork
We cover all aspects of plaster work, from wattle and daub lime plastering to Newtonite and renovating. We also cover lightweight plastering, rendering, tanking, and cellar work.
Flooring and roof work
We can provide repairs and renewal for flooring boards, joists, and ventilation work.
Roofing repairs
We can provide repairs for:
- Slate roofs
- Stone roofs
- Tile roofs
- Clay roofs
Conservation of Church and Period buildings
Stonework restoration and re-facing techniques are used with the exact stone and stone dust to match the existing stonework, ensuring a seamless transition. Our restoration work also includes stone windows repair and renewal tower work to churches.
Pointing work
We can provide conservation of lime mortars to match existing walls, whether it's stone, brick, or flint. This also includes working nooks and fireplace work.
Cob walling
We can provide cob repairs using traditional materials and techniques. Our cob blocks are made to fit the repairs at hand, so you will always get a high quality finish. Working with lime we have a lime finish plaster that will give an exact match to the existing wall. We use our own specially made ties and fixings for repair work to cob walls.
